Task 1 - Research Website Design Technologies
Coding is the basis for every and all computer programs being old terminals or the latest windows update, coding is like the central nervous system of computers, without it the program cannot function. Through the tutorials I have learned how to create a simple webpage from scratch including how to put in text, images, links headers, body, and image links using the appropriate HTML elements e.g <body> <p> <a img src=> etc. HTML or Hyper Text Markup Language is the basic language used to build and construct webpages computers and specifically web browsers can read HTML code and can process it into visible and audible web pages. Browsers do not actually show the tags, but uses them to interpret the contents of the page. HTML describes the foundation/structure of of a webpage along with cues for presentation, this makes it a Markup language rather then a programming language.
Task 2 - Research Website Design Issues
Navigation:
Do all links work? Can the user simply traverse through the website smoothly without a link failing or misleading the user if not, the problem need to be rectified so the users is able to get to each part of the website. Depending on the location and severity of the problem the website may be completely unusable causing bad reputation for both the maker and the client.
Reliability
It's important to make sure that when being searched for, the website can actually be found and accessed Thanks to hyper broadband latest graphics chips and a variety of other reasons the speed of most users would not be used slow speed, so making a website that ca run quickly and smoothly is a must. Without that, a users interest would be moved and may not even reach the home page.
Legal issues/copyright
If the site resembles or has similar features to other site the then it may run the risk of being challenged/ sued so the designer should always make collections of evidence and proof against the accusations of course if the accusations prove correct (or at least win the battle) the whole thing would have taken down and start from scratch using up much more time, effort and money.

Client problems
The client may ask or even demand things for their website that are simply just not in the designers power e.g. making the website on the top page on google. The designer would have to reason with, explain and make the customer understand on what would be possible and what is not
Maintenance
After the site has been launched the designer it would be important to run regular check ups to make sure no bugs or glitches that could prove to be damaging to the site. it would also be important to update the site as time moves on to make sure the site stays fresh and modern and doesn't fall "out of fashion" and looks presentable to younger/ newer generations.
Compatibility
The site needs to be accessible for as many people as possible, anyone who tries to access the site may be doing so from different brands and evolution's of technology so it needs to be compatible to as many different users as possible, be them accessing the site from a smart phone, or an old computer to the latest model. The designer needs to be aware of how to share the accessibility as to not isolate any amount of potential audience and/or customers.
Hacking
All sites are, at various levels, susceptible to attacks. Even if the site may poses little interest to hackers, precautions should be put in place just in case to prevent the site from being attacked or even destroyed. This protects both the owner and all users of the site
Good and bad websites
Good

Bad
http://www.lingscars.com/sitemap.php
This website is a complete mess and has way too much going on for the mind to even process and immediately throws all but the most determined viewers off from viewing further. There are too many colours, images, flashing lights and seems that there is little to no order and repels customers as they feel too nervous to press anything or are over crowded by so many things that they really dont know what to press

Evaluation
Creating the initial homepage was a somewhat difficult task. upon revealing my website it showed catastrophic layout problems that were not shown during the development process for some reason. Advice from feed back recommends that all text should be place in appropriate "Container <div>(s)" to make the text more manageable and to stop it ungrouping itself when the page is expanded or shortened. an issue was also raised about the reuse of the logo, even though it is not as important i can and will redesign the logo in time and use it over the current one. Another problem that occurred was the malfunction of images i tried to add to the website but didn't properly show up, most likely due to a coding error , it's a problem i'm still currently trying to fix.
